She's at University of Toledo while I'm at University of Akron (two and a half hours by Turnpike), but she'll be coming back next year so the distance is done.

The band is real silver (no green fingers), with two real sapphires on either side of a real fire opal oval.

Loretta thinks diamonds are trite and over-inflated. Being that she has to wear it I let her pick out her absolute favorite.

We found it on Amazon and thanks to a Christmas sale got a $75 discount on it.

yeah I don't like diamonds as the main gem on any ring. even a $3,000 diamond is still ptetty loving small. and who the hell would pay that much anyways.

So do I, actually, and she loves it (and it wasn't too hard on my wallet either) and as long as she's happy, I'm happy.

I think the tradition should be, that the guy buys a new ring for her like every year.
its not a big deal if you only spend 100 bucks on em.
and they don't have to be afraid to wear them all the time, concerned about scratching them up or losing gems.
