Windows 8: Window keeps loosing and regaining focus

I've never come across this problem before so I'm assuming it's Win 8 specific. For any solutions and help I request that you post in the Steam discussion thread.

here we go again.

Windows 8 is perfectly fine, I'm using it right now and I'm having no problems whatsoever with it, switching back to Windows 7 never pops up into my mind.

Tell him to post his console.log here

It's worth noting that I've run the game on a Windows 8.1 (laptop, pre-installed 8 but I updated) just fine.
