Author Topic: 5 Senses.  (Read 2443 times)

well you're lucky its the least important sense you dont have
i dont know man, what if there was a fire in your kitchen
and you were just chilling there like 5 miles away in your room playing super loud dubstep with your headphones on

Humans actually have a lot more than 5.
Including, but not limited to:
  • Pain
  • Warmth and coldth
  • Acceleration
  • Magnetic fields

And of all those, smell is probably the least important one, so in a sense you're lucky.
what about when you have to fart and you have a sense that it might be a slippery slope of misery. that should be in the list somewhere.

Depending on your definition of a sense you can have from 9 to like 20 senses

coldth
All of my wat.

Everyone is forgetting time. The sense of time.

I've heard this before but I've never seen anything backing this up, nor have I heard an explanation. Do you have any information?

I can do it.  I can tell when a muted TV is on in the other room, even when the device doesn't make any sound.

Don't forget the "sixth" sense  :cookieMonster:

I think that feeling "conscious" or being "aware" should be a sense in itself.

don't forget your common sense.

don't forget your common sense.

A lot of people are devoid of that sense.

My vision is pretty bad; I'm very nearsighted.  I can distinguish colors almost perfectly, though.

My hearing is REALLY good.  Almost too good.  I never go to live music shows because it's loving painful.  I have perfect tone sensitivity, too; I can transcribe tunes pretty well by ear, and I can tell if something is even just a tiny bit off-key.

My sense of smell is pretty bad on account of my irritable, frequently-clogged sinuses.

All my other senses are pretty much average.

Your hearing might be good because of your sucky smell and vision.

I read somewhere that it has to do with your senses "compensating" for each other or something like that.

If you're blind, your brain will devote more power to your other senses in order to survive. Your brain doesn't need to waste energy on dead senses.
