Author Topic: I keep typing double spaces for no reason?  (Read 900 times)

This is going on mainly when I am typing on the forum, ect.
For example, this what I would want to type:

Hello, my name is Johnny Blockhead.

This is what comes out sometimes (something to this effect):

Hello,  my name is  Johnny Blockhead

You can see double spaces.
Does anyone know how to stop this? I am not pounding on my keyboard or anything.
I'm sorry if this belonged anywhere or if this can be seen as a "useless topic", I just need help :(

the way you spelled accidental was an accident too right?

Have fun changing the topic title, Muslim.

How long is the delay for your keys repeating set for?

I wonder why he did that

It used to happen to me on my old desktop, only it did it with all keys.  I'd hit one key, let's say the letter 'u', and it would come out as 'uuu'.  After awhile, it'd just go away though, like my USB mouse problem.

I am not quite sure. If I eyeball it, it looks like I can type one character and then hold the key down for a second. After that second, it starts repeating constantly.

Make sure you've got nothing under the spacebar, it's a far more complicated key than any other on a keyboard. Especially if it only has a single contact point. If that doesn't help, try cleaning out the entire keyboard, might be some other physical problem.
