Author Topic: Sounds playing at the wrong pitch ingame?  (Read 424 times)

I've created the sound of a coin being dropped into a pile, and installed it into the game., you can hear it Here:http://puu.sh/62OZd.wav

However, when I play it ingame, it sounds significantly lower-pitched, like a metallic clunk. I have tried increasing the pitch and boosting the treble of the sound, but both made the sound even LOWER ingame. It sounds almost like the game is cutting off the very top edge of the treble, which would explain why raising the pitch would make it sound lower, because more of the sound is in the range being cut off.

Any idea how to get it sounding correct ingame?

I'm not completely certain, but this may be an issue with the sound's sample rate.

Try lowering it to 22KHz, that appears to be the rate on the default sounds.

You are fantastic, sir. Worked like a charm.
