Author Topic: Trying to write without having successfully downloading a manifest.  (Read 20902 times)

Jesus christ. This happens all the time. Stop overreacting.

I've never seen it happen before.

Code: [Select]
Fatal-ISV: (\dev\Blockland\trunk\engine\launcher\launcher.cc @ 221) Trying to write without having successfully downloaded a manifest..-.

I was about to make a topic about this. Good thing I actually looked.

Enjoy the forums for a while

I was just about to post this for help to...

I'm assuming Blockland dun goofed on some new update/patch - took only a second of looking in Blockland folder before finding a "latestManifest.dat" file... empty.

(Trying to write without having successfully downloaded a manifest)
kinda makes sense.

It is apparently a global issue. This sucks.

Well, there is someone who CAN access blockland, as I have seen in my thread:

I managed to bypass the error. If you have a recent backup of blockland, restore the download manifest file and disconnect the internet for a second while launching the game. The game should then start right up. Reconnect the internet and wolla, it works.

Its happing to me

But On the top text of the error it says /dev/Blockland/truck/engine/launcher.cc

I think that's were the game scripts are located at?

So should we delete the launcher.cc or we forgot to switch are blockland accounts over to steam

However, there appears to be a DDos attack in progress, so good luck loading the server list.

Time to murder another cracker. not the first time I've seen a hellish DDos though.

[note : cracker = person who uses knowledge of networks to destroy them]
[hacker = person who uses knowledge of networks to benefit in an organization's security]
which makes me wish people would know the difference.

Order of events:
1. Start typing OP that that thread, but stop to take pics
2. Find out I can't launch, then post thread without pictures
3. Uxie suggests taking picutres, and he does

So, In other words, yes I can.

Me and my friend are also getting this error. My other friend can run the game, but no servers pop up.
