He's completely right though. It's not our job to take care of people who are mentally unstable. Joining a new game does not mean you develop a brain for the first time. In any community, really, you are expected to not be a handicap. This has nothing to do with the guy being new, he's just a handicap.
It's not our job to put them through hard knocks either. Why do you think Blockland has a reputation of being somewhat of a harsh community? Several Steamies have told me that Blockland is known for its unforgiving and uncaring community.
We need to kindly correct or help along those who newly join. Calling them autistic or mental is a blow only to support one's ego it seems. I can bet you that around 92% of people who use autism as an insult don't even know what it is. It is an impairment of the mind, yes, but it is defined as
a mental condition, present from early childhood, characterized by difficulty in communicating and forming relationships with other people and in using language and abstract concepts. Now although da racer64 may have difficulty communicating in a set of guidelines, teen generally means 13 - 19, but can also mean 10 - 20 in some interpretations.
I dunnnnooooo...teens these days are pretty handicapped...
A generalization, albeit a near-maxim. Every person has their social quirks. I had a load of them when I came here, and nevertheless the Blockland Forums turned me into somewhat of a stone, metaphorically speaking. Some people here are just not intelligent, whether that comes to mental, emotional or social intelligence. The people who are "just off the boat" are testing the water or trying to understand the atmosphere of the game. These people are also those who report what they experienced about the game to other people, advertising or spreading opinions to other potential customers.
I think that da racer64 did not deserve (in comparison to most dramas) a whopping 24-page drama topic over a small set of social flaws. I don't see what has to make da racer64 some "center of scandal" of how he
*might* be an alt. Blake1 seems to conduct himself way too well for da racer64 to be some alt. My guess is that since Blake1 has been here for a while, da racer64 thinks that this is some impressive "omg this is so cool. my cousin is a veteran member" and over-preaches about it.
