I've always been curious how other people use third and first person. I switch between the two all the time depending on what I'm doing. If I'm building or aiming, I'm generally in first, but third when I'm driving a vehicle or anything else really

i spam the key sometimes

generally third person unless i am shooting at someone with either a weapon that is explicitly very accurate or is far enough away that i can't see them around my player or they're outside of the third person camera's arc

unless i'm using my railgun. in which case i will still probably use third person and still probably connect

Both for jumping challenges.
First for accuracy.
Third for everything else.

I'm literally switching all the time.

i mix things up depending on what im doing yo

for combat im usually 3rd person 2 check around corners, above cover, and or get a general feel around me
i only ever enter 1st person when im ready to engage or am indoors

for building i stick w/ 3rd person 90% of the time and rely on 1st person not all too often

I get flustered when we can't switch to third person with some player types lol.

Building: first person if needed to aim ghost brick otherwise always third.

Vehicles: third person for everything except planes

DM: Almost always first person. Use third occasionally to get a different view of scene when not in combat.

Third for building
Third for TDM-DM's
First for shooting at someone

Like some of the others have said, it depends on the scenario.

Building: Third Person, with the occasional First Person to aim a ghost brick.
Combat: Third with melee weapons, First with guns.
Vehicles: Third 99% of the time, because I use mouse steering.

First person all the time when fighting,
first person half the time when building,
third person when driving.

1st person: Speedkart, walking, shooting, building

3rd person: Speedkart (I switch), regular driving, minigames involving important landing spots (I kind of switch though) including falling tiles, deathruns, etc.
