Need help with a sore throat and terrible cough

I have been having the worst sore through and cough all day, when I swallow, my throat really hurts, and when I cough, my chest feels like hell.

I've tried Mucinex, Tylenol, and Dayquil but none of it's helped.

Any help? I want to get rid of this as quick as possible.

Guys seriously forget off.

OT: Try swishing hot salt water around your mouth and the back of your throat. It could be Strep but then again I've never herd of Strep causing pain in the chest.
Holding ice in your mouth near the back of your throat has also seemed to help me ease the pain of a sore throat.
Other things include warm tea.
Honey.
Peanut butter coupled with warm milk(Sounds god awful but it works)
