Author Topic: What would be a car known as the "Vortex" [Moved to Vehicle's Topic]  (Read 15520 times)

Aside from the...well... sides it looks completely fine.

That's nice but you should try to make it more "blocko"
Not sure how it could be possible. Well actually to start off, what do you mean by "more bloko"? Should I delete some verticies and then re-face the car making it less "round" or whatever the word is I'm looking for? BC What I did was take a model from what you advised me to do, and then did a 3d trace of it (like a remodel of it w/ less "detail" and "HD" stuff).

EDIT: If this is the case, where in the car should I start?

Alright since this is the case, where and what in your guy's opinion needs a re-face job?

EDIT: I've already had an idea, and it's done.

UPDATE:
Due to taking all of your guy's advice and opinions, here's the Subaru if it's the vortex! It'll soon be the official vortex due to having the Subaru in the lead by 6 points.

Note: The windshields are not transparent due to a non-implemented interior.

As you can see in this photo here, I've taken Filipe's advice of making it more "Bloko", by re-facing some parts of the car. Also, I've had smooth shading on some parts of the vehicle (the front bumper for example), to reduce renders making it look stupid (I have no clue how it's going to turn out in-game). Second, I had to change the color of the car ATM since the new yellow wheels have been implemented. Modifications to the front blinkers have been implemented by adding a little black light border thing.

Since none of you have seen the back of this in the first place, I've decided to also render the back side. Earlier, this side was detailed and less bloko. I did the same thing to the back here as well.

If you are making a round car then you should make the wheels round too. Octagonal wheels with a hi-poly body won't work too nice. Even the default Jeep's wheel is a circle with 16 sides.

The wheels here have an 8 vertice radius. You want me to double that to 16 vertices?

EDIT: Looking at the circle I've added into blender with 16 vertices doesn't look bad. So I'll take your word for it and remodel with a 16-vertice radius.

If you think 16 is too much then try 12, but 8 is too little.

If you think 16 is too much then try 12
Oh no no no no, 16 looks good as I'm modeling it.

You should reduce the size of the rims, it looks like one of those entrepreneur ed big rims you might see in some cars

Better?

Well, thanks to all that have voted on what should be the Vortex. I would like to announce that:

To be quite honest. This looks like you ported a vehicle from INITIAL D ARCADE STAGE.

You did perfect. I love the vehicle in the condition it is in right now. Hell... Just make the rim color dark grey and make this badboy do some drifts, And this is a great vehicle addon.
