Author Topic: Old times argument: quantity or quality?  (Read 3778 times)

speed or damage?
SMG or Sniper?
Dual swords or 2-Hand sword?
Rogue or knight?
Wizard or necromancer?

these are often some of the most debated topics amongst MLG and regular gamers alike. Which is best? What instances are best for each? Is it better to be accurate and deal more damage, or be less accurate with an even higher damage rate
this is one of the few times I'm not going to start the topic off, strictly because I'm interested in what others have to say.
Why do you usually prefer being a rogue?
What's so great about the P90 that obliterates the M14?
Why is a necromancer an all around better pick than a wizard (most games I've played, necro is tough and slow, wizard was weaker but fast)
Why should I want a medium tank rather than a tank destroyer

!!Things to keep in mind!!
- not everything is perfect for every scenario. A shotgun is not a sniper rifle, and a knight isn't the best for trying to stealthily kill a target.
- keep it game related. Try not to get Butthurt about others opinions, and try not to explain the quantum physics of a bullet's trajectory which thereby makes your choice of firearm meaningless because either way you die. Keep it simple.
- none of you are MLG don't even try
- explain your reasoning. If someone questions it, form a rebut.
- discuss, learn, GROW
- I'm gonna say this one more time: high DMG/low speed is NOT always the best choice, not is high speed/low DMG. This is simply a discussion about MOST cases and why you think so.

This is a fairly iffy topic and I do realize each classification has it's role. An assassin is better at 1v1 than a knight, but a knight will handle a group of grunts better. A tank destroyer will one shot a medium tank, but a good medium tank might be fast enough and smart enough to eliminate 4 light tanks.

Go forth my children, discuss and share your knowledge

quality, obviously

why would I want 20 stuff games when I can have 2 god tier games

less money spent and more happiness

This can't be a factual debate. Some people are better at certain weapons than others, which therefore means they can be more deadly in that category.

If some guy sucks ass at using a sniper, he will not be accurate all and get less kills. However he might be good at using an SMG and get more kills that way.

It's vice versa. Some guy might be really good at a sniper, be accurate, and get a ton of kills that way. Anyone can really be good at an SMG, but if he's good at both, he'd probably do better with a sniper.

Did you just read the title and nothing else?
It literally says "SMG or Sniper" in the second line
And a forgetton of other things

Well gee, I must not be the only loving 'blind' person here.

do you even read the op.

i always try to go as fast as possible while dealing the most damage, even if it's situational
so shotguns.
