Yes, I got Demo around v9. You're right though, the server did go down for an update once or twice, but that was because it was upgraded I think.

Back when you had to reinstall Blockland to get updates, the master server went weird.
I remember when people didn't realize that Blockland updated so they would yell, "where are the servers??"
Right after an update there where only 10 servers or so on the older version of bl
