oh wait
i know it sounds crazy but you can actually just call the police and they'll handle everything if it was an actual DDOS
call the loving police, it's illegal.

i never knew we could

Protip: they will ignore your report unless you're a (big) company and have money

this is why you call the ISP directly.

they just tell you to stop or they'll either stop/slow down their services for you

I just read up on DoS attacks, and it looks like DoS attacks are punishable by years of imprisonment. That is, of course, if we were dealing with an adult instead of some disgruntled minor.

As a computer networking student, I would like to know what you guys are using to find the attacker's IP address. Something like WireShark?

This is such a stupid post. If you're a computer networking student you'd have to have already known what a DoS attack is. Hell, my mother knows what one is. Also, since a DoS attack is from a single IP address, it's not exactly hard to get the attackers IP.

the difference is that he's using a booter and there's no way to know who initiated the attack

sorry kids, looks like the sheriff won't come to solve some argument over the internet

I think this may be right.
dont know if this is right but i found this:

IP Address       199.16.102.164
Country Code       US
Country Name       United States United States
Region       Texas
City       Brownwood
Coordinates       Google Map 31°36'25"N   -99°1'10"W
Time Zone       -06:00
ISP       Harris Broadband L.p.

yeah it's likely not right, but there is a possibility...

Gonna bump some images just to remind people he is like 10 years old.

Seeing this in the context of that huge drama thread about nienhaus's cp happening little over a week ago makes it just that much more hilarious.
