Author Topic: Do you miss your first years of Blockland?  (Read 2987 times)

I don't know about you, but my first years on this game feels kinda magical to me, everything was new, simple and fresh, I had a few friends that we used to hang out a lot and join each other servers to check out they houses, I remember a friend of mine built a house which had a lot of cool stuff inside, I invited my other friends over and we sat on his couch and pretended that we were watching a movie, and how everything was way more simple back then, there were only a few add-ons, a few players and the servers were a lot of fun back then, I still love blockland of course, but my first years on it was the best time I've had, what about you guys? Have any good memories of the old days?

Yup, I built houses out of 1x1 bricks

I don't miss my first days, but i do miss the days of when i was just a regular member then an admin on the Scattered Space servers back in RTB 1.x

Yep. I miss everything up to 2010.
That's when I kinda switched to Retail for the most part and when I intentionally formatted my hard drive. But also accidentally my backup drive... So basically I lost everything there.
I do miss most of my friends since 'back then'. I can still recall certain names I would love to play and talk to with again, but it's a miss.
Though there are certain things in the past related to Blockland I would also love to simply forget about and even better wish I'd never done.

I do miss my first days where I was building things and joined a good server and did a lot of building in the server and it was better when I building a town in the old maps in the Pool map.

Nope. loving around alone with bots, on GSF's GTA maps sucked. The mods back in v8 were great, but god damn I wished I would have bought the full game then.

I still love Blockland but nothing will ever beat me messing around on the demo during V11

I've only been around for about a year
:(

Back when family RPs were fun. FFC ftw... :(

I remember making a two lines of jeeps on the kitchen light in v10 and then blowing them off with rocket launchers. Just that could provide half an hour of entertainment. I also remember editing ACM City by personalizing it and editing the roads to make more buildings. I also hosted an ACM freebuild where I would build houses on request for anybody who desired them.

First friends ever were blockbuddy (http://forum.returntoblockland.com/list.php?cmd=view&id=9692) and Kari (http://forum.returntoblockland.com/list.php?cmd=view&id=4937).

v8 and v9 were the best years of blockland for me, so many distinct memories.

I joined back in v20 ;c
played the demo in v19 then decided to purchase it in v20.
Actually, A special thanks to Pablo to getting me into this game. I saw his videos on youtube and it made me buy it.

I think I still have the PM I sent him when I first joined the forums... Welp no. Must have deleted it.

I also loved Jorgur's Dogfights and Pecon7's boss battles more than anything, Oh right I built a house named "Gatshack" with guns and I would say "Wear the 'Mr. Peanut hat' (Rusty and Munk's hatmod +) or get banned.

Don't you guys just get that "magical" feeling when you first play a game, Especially blockland?

I remember when I joined someones slopes game for the first time, people were ski-ing down really high mountains and others were in bi-planes and stunt-planes shooting each other, damn that was fun.

I remember when I joined a server on the slopes, it was probably within weeks after v10 came out and a little under a month before v11 and people were richarding around with things in the default red paint color.

It was fun from what I can remember.

Nope, game's only been getting better. Why would I want to go back?
