Cant Change Profile Pic

Hey guys...Ive been wanting to change my Blockland Forums profile pic for quite some time now. But for some reason it wont work. I input the picture I want and hit change profile. But it dousnt work. Help plz

the avatar has updated however your browser hasn't

this is a silly fix that isn't a fix - it's a coincidence that making the file smaller makes it work, because it doesn't. While you spend time making the image smaller, you're doing the waiting I prescribed, which I'm pretty sure is a more effective solution. I don't know why it works, but it does.

your browsers image cache will automatically refresh every so often
making your image a different size will make your browser's cache redownload the image since it's a different size
the issue is now all avatars are stored under the same url unlike before

Also, cache headers relate to file size (not image size - a different but identically sized omage will be a different size) not image size
I guess it doesn't hurt to try ctrl+f5 though, lord knows we don't need a 24th topic about this crap

Still Aint Workin. This has gone on for YEARS! Yeah that's right. Ive been unable to change it for years.

Either try a different picture or double check the one you want. Make sure it is 74 by something smaller than 75. If that still doesn't work then the picture might be too big of a file.

this is black voodoo magic bullstuff like stated above

SMF has functionality to handle resizing this bullstuff, and if it's too big file size wise... well, i guess that could be a problem. It would have to be gigantic though.

I tried uploading mine and then I refreshed the page a few times and it worked fine just seconds ago x:

I got it :D you have to make sure the pic is small enough. 80 x 80 or smaller is perfect
