Author Topic: Why use 1.1.19 instead of SMF 2.0.6?  (Read 25432 times)

Like why do we use 1.1.19 when there is 2.0.6 out.

because smf 2.0.6 is bloated and sucks

because then the look of the forum would change and that's a no-no

isn't 2.0.6 really exploitable too?

it's been manually modified...

This, the changes made would be too much of a pain to carry over I imagine.

We actually didn't even use 1.1.19 until a series of account takeovers prompted Badspot to upgrade in case an exploit was found in the forum software.

What runs what?

Care to specify what 1.1.19 and SMF 2.0.6 even is?
By the conversation I can only assume its forums related.

if only there were some way to search the internet for key words or something, then we might be able to demystify this puzzle!

I say we ditch SMF altogether, archive all the posts, and switch to IPboard.

I'm honestly not joking, this forum needs a reboot.
