Got to Get You Into my Life and Eleanor Rigby

hey look a beatles thread

my top 10 favorite songs:

1. Revolution
2. I Me Mine
3. Good Morning Good Morning
4. Hey Bulldog
5. I Feel Fine
6. Ticket to Ride
7. With A Little Help From My Friends
8. Here Comes The Sun
9. Hello Goodbye
10. Octopus' Garden
All 10 of those aren't in my list, wow. A lot of my favorite songs are ones that weren't the "big" ones (ones that are more known) like Revolution, Here Comes the Sun, or Hello Goodbye.

Also, I generally only like their music from Rubber Soul and on. I don't like their earlier music, with the exception of a few like I Feel Fine.

Triple post.

Which album do you guys think was their best?

come together, yesterday, eleanor rigby

Come Together seems to be one of the few Beatles songs that everyone knows. Has anyone noticed that? Come Together, Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, Hello Goodbye, Revolution, Hey Jude, Here Comes the Sun, Yellow Submarine; a lot of people who only know a few Beatles songs seem to know at least 2 or 3 of these. Come Together seems to be the most popular among those who don't really listen to the Beatles.

I'm sorry but,

why does everyone love the Beatles so much?

they aren't loving gods. excuse my opinion but i just think they're overrated.

my brother used to listen to them a lot but i don't know much else

I liked some of their psychedelic stuff like Sgt. Pepper, but for the most part I don't like their music.

It's not that everyone loves them; in fact, I've run into tons of people who don't like them. It's that everyone understands/agrees on them being the most influential band ever. They were the best, and still are, among all rock bands. As far as the genre of music they are in, they are undoubtedly number one.

They have 4 albums in the Rolling Stones top 10 greatest albums of all time list, including spots 1, 3 and 5, as well as 14 and 39. They have 7 songs in the Rolling Stones top 30 greatest songs of all time. They are number one on the Rolling Stones top 100 greatest artists list.

In the last 5 years of their existence, the music they released influenced virtually every band after 1970. I can't imagine the music they could have made if they had endured into the mid-to-late 70s given that their music was getting better as time went on.

They are not overrated, I can tell you that without a doubt. In fact, as far as I'm concerned, they are underrated.

Try Abbey Road out. You won't be disappointed.
