Mosquitos and ticks don't eat animals, they spread disease and pose threats to humans.

Mosquitos and ticks are eaten by other animals and are key to a wider foodchain.
Removing them from existence would disrupt the food sources of other creatures, disrupting their population. Which in turn would disrupt further food sources and any symbiotic relationships those creatures may have with other animals or plants.

Ticks and mozzies are a nuisance to humans, since they're painful and spread disease.
But they are crucial to food systems too.
