That would be awesome.

Author Topic: [VIDEO] Abstract's TARDIS -NEW PICS-  (Read 2981 times)

After a few months of many prototypes, I'm still not done, but this is definitely the last version. I've made a TARDIS that doesn't use teleports to get you to the interior. It's bigger on the inside, and you can see the interior from the opened doors. Here's my video for it! (no special effects)

Also, thanks to Chekelo for the Blockland version of "I Am The Doctor".

Some extra pictures:

I know the interior doesn't really have many buttons yet, it's still a work in progress.

I have a feeling that he is using special bricks that make it look like there is nothing behind the Tardis when in reality there are. That's probably why he didn't go completely around the Tardis in the video nor posted any picks from behind. That's my theory anyway.

Probably right.
Edit: but really, he should add more detail inside.

Probably right.
I think he just used lots of disappear events, you'll notice they fade in when he opens the door.

This too. Although I'm not sure if there is any other way to make it look like it's opening without doing so. Unless there is another way and I never new it or thought about it.

Added new pictures, includes a front, back, and opened doors with me standing behind the TARDIS. I'll add some stuff to the interior later!

I dont get how this works but it looks really cool however you ended up doing it

Notice:
- All bricks that the interior is made up of have some kind of effect (chrome, blink etc)
- We have not seen a shot of the tardis from above with the doors open
- The interior stuff seems to dissapear in when the door is opened.

If you place some bricks with almost complete transparency and turn shaders on, you won't be able to see bricks with effects or transparency through them.

Not to say that this isn't a really good way of doing it.

Ill make a video on how he did this for you guy's because most of these "Guessed answers" are incorrect by massively amount
Press this video to find out how he did it http://youtu.be/4qEFC0WncW4
No add-ons needed

I would tell you guys how it works, it's just that the effect utilizes so many different things, it'd take a while to go over. Also,
- We have not seen a shot of the tardis from above with the doors open
Adding an above picture with the doors open!

Lol close but wrong.

Lol wrong, There will be to many events being activated even though you can change the amount of events
