Author Topic: Feeling terrible, need a second opinion...  (Read 681 times)

Before you ask, yes, I looked up the symptoms on WebMD and got a ton of diseases that I'm fairly certain I don't have. The symptoms I have are: a terrible cough (it's gotten worse in the past day, but I've had it for longer), a headache (which only just recently started as well), and a sore throat. Anyone have any idea what I have? I have to go to school in about an hour and a half (timeline), and it's especially important that I go because I have to take a geometry test. The only thing I could think of is that I have a cold, but I just want to make sure.

a cold. you have a cold

Have you tried taking your temperature?

Its a cold.
You'll be fine.

Never, ever diagnose yourself over the internet.

Never, ever diagnose yourself over the internet.

Never diagnose yourself in general lol.

Impossible to accurately diagnose. The symptoms are shared by a million illnesses.

Chances are you have a common cold. Regular advice is to keep comfortable and warm, eat if possible (balanced diet), have plenty of rest and keep hydrated.

If headaches are bad then take a painkiller like ibuprofen or paracetamol, but follow advice on packaging first, and if you're a minor then ask your parents first.

Try a cough tablet or cough syrup for your throat.

If it persists then see a doctor. If it gets worse then see a doctor.

yes this

People always freak out over nothing

Have you tried taking your temperature?
It's early in the morning where I live, and I have no idea where the thermometer is. I will later, though.
People always freak out over nothing
The only reason I'm "freaking out" is because I have to go to school and take a test in an hour.
Apart from that, looks like everyone agrees that it's a cold... Locking.
