Got my MRI results back quite a while ago and it turns out I've got a benign tumour in my brain which presses my pituitary gland. I'm having blood tests in a couple of weeks I think and they found the tumour out of the blue. They scanned originally to see if it was affecting my vision. It turns out the tumour happens to 1/5 people and if it doesn't affect my hormones, then I won't get it operated on.
I'm sure I'll have some sort of drug though to shrink the tumour.
When the consultant told me, I zoned out like forget, as when you think 'tumour' it's going to be a serious matter, although they're going to rescan my head soon and I'm not looking forward to it! Especially since I'm claustrophobic. I got out of the consultants room and I ended up blanking it out, I was going to post a topic on the forums but I thought it'd only prolong me thinking how scary it could be. I missed the whole day of school and then came back for the drama rehearsals which I attend and I was just completely quiet, I told a couple of my friends and they assumed it was cancerous. I just told them it was benign and isn't as serious as the real deal.
I thought I needed to let it out here since it was about MRI results!
Aside of my persona, I hope physiotherapy goes well for you!
