Author Topic: Want my own LAN like PC in the future  (Read 2006 times)

No, not like this crappy hp pavillion.

I'm talking about a real PC, like the ones you see on CyberPowerPC, without overpaying.

I'd like a LAN PC, aka something that looks like this:

Although, I'm very confused on what to get.

I want something that can run games like Skyrim at a decent FPS (20 or 30), and other games at a high FPS (TF2 at 100 or so). But other than that like processors and video cards, I don't know what accessories or other items I should get. Should I get a new mouse and keyboard? New headset? Other things?

Please let me know what I should get and what I don't.

Also, I'm leaving this seperate from the Personal Computer section because I feel as I want it to be seperate from other discussions there. It's not necessary to put this in there.

...are you asking for a compact pc?

a real pc doesn't look like a ricey blue led filled micro atx case
just letting you know

Last time I checked there is no such thing as a "LAN PC".  You could just build a networking server to have a LAN PC.  What you showed is just a mini ATX system.  You essentially want games to stream is what I am inferring here from that system to your TV exactly like a steambox would.

Here's what a lan box is:
1) A small case w/ handles
2) Ordinary computer parts

isnt a lan PC just a tiny PC for lan parties

idk wtf you mean by saying a "lan-like PC" but im glad that you specified that you dont like hp pavilion

that really cleared up a lot of confusion

OP knows nothing about computers

you need anb ssd to run all games at maxc settings + AA

oh my god i know that feel

obviously you will need some form of keyboard with maximum response times so  that you won't get fragged in TF2, i personally reccomend the razer deathstalker ultimate, as you can add your own macros to the super useful touchpad.
