Author Topic: i overthink and overworry about stuff i see in movies  (Read 1316 times)

as an example, i watched the pianist and there was this one part where they dump an old guy out of his wheelchair and onto the pavement off of like a 4 story, or 3 story building. after i saw that i was sort of disturbed about how bad and horrible it was for like 2 weeks and couldnt stop thinking about it. does anyone else have this problem and if so, how can i fix it?

Don't watch 3 guys 1 hammer.

Also it's a movie ok, that guy didn't actually died. You are being played

it's a movie
they're actors
it's not real
pretend there was a giant trampoline under the building but they positioned the camera so you couldn't see it, so really he just bounced safe right off

That means you're still human

I had a minor panic attack after watching a mediocre SyFy movie about aliens

Looper, the scene where the dude from the future is trying to find his past self because his limbs keep disappearing as they're being cut off of his past body.

ugh

unfort i just have awkward memories of scary movies and think about them before I go to bed

i kinda lul at the thought of elderly violence.

i think i have been stuck behind them while driving 1 to many times. i am one more "made late for an appointment" away from pulling an old man from his car and beating him to death.

If I only watch half of a horror movie, or if the horror movie has a cliffhanger, then I'll most likely have nightmares.
My mind just needs to see "oh look the thing is over"

wouldn't that just make you later for your appointment and therefore just be an inconvinence

anyways to answer op's question
i do the overthink part
not the overworry part
i'm not sure why i can't ever just enjoy a movie or something without almost-constant commentary about how stuff should/shouldn't be possible

I watched that in school about 5 years ago, I laughed my ass off when they dropped the guy. I got kicked out the lesson ahaha

I watched the breaking bad episode where combo gets shot dead

it made me kinda sad :(

ugh

Yeah, that scene was really cringeworthy.
