I've had a computer that did that, didn't download even after it being on for the night, OS is most likely broken, our computer didn't even turn on after that, it's now a brick.

It says "Installing update 1 of 1..."

It says "Installing update 1 of 1..."
When it updates, next time do what I said and wait an hour to make sure the download didn't freeze.

EDIT: It shows percentage when it configures the updates when the system restarts, right?

windows does updates starting with the biggest first, it might take a while

No. It was like I only turned the screen off because I could hear the fan runnig still and everything.

Ok guys luckily my OS was not broken through this process. I ended up actually turning it completely off then on again and it started to actually download the updates so now it's all good. Thanks to you guys and Tommy.
