Author Topic: you should make blockland for the wii.  (Read 5265 times)

I am actually posting from my wii. and i thought it whould be cool to play blockland on your wii.

Extremely difficult to do, if not impossible. It'd involve having to go to Nintendo, make all sorts of massive deals, go through many, many hoops, redesign the game essentially. It normally takes a big company to make a console game, and the Wii is no exception.

Not to speak of copyright issues. LEGO have already released quite a few video game titles and bringing a game like Blockland into the console market would, while the game essentially doesn't break any copyright rules, probably end up with a lawsuit, or Nintendo simply not wanting to have anything to do with it due to prior dealings/contracts with LEGO.

contracts are stupid. sure its a good move for the company, much more money to be made.
but hinders the gamers and developers

There is a Wii version of the Torque engine. It's not impossible.

its also possible on the 360, marble blast is on it :D

ya, torque came out with a 360 engine :D

Where have you seen Torque for Wii???

there was some threads about it in off topic i think i remember.

garagegames website had some links of infos

Ive never seen a Wii, but there is a 360 version of torque

Yeah, I found other links @ garagegames.com.  Nifty.  It's still in the ridiculously early stages of use in terms of distribution.  I'd rather see a Blockland 2 for TGEA than a Blockland port to a console.

ya it was just an idea but I kinda figured it whould be hard

this is a great game but in my opinion one of the things that keeps me coming back to it over and over is the mods and on the wii that would not exist at least not in the same great way it does now
