Author Topic: (Challenge) Run blockland under 750mhz, 512ram, and 24 video mem.  (Read 1970 times)

Do it and post results.
(if anyone makes it work with under 7mhz cpu then i will heat & eat my dong literally)
I don't care what os, or type of computer, just make it run with the minimal specs as possible.

I've run it on a 700 Mhz computer before. It worked decently.

I still have that thing. Maybe I'll dust it off and try again if I'm bored.

make it run on 600 mhz

EDIT: also post pics of 700 mhz

I had a core 2 duo of some sort with 2gb of ram.
ran like stuff lol, it might just be me because I'm used to having a good computer

I do not think Blockland will launch with 24mb of video memory.

That's a fairly modern computer..

run it on an IBM Thinkpad with that OS that was so old it has the cursor as a poorly animated duck with 3 colors
god my friend had one of those and I was so jelly.

600 MHz Intel Celeron
384 MB RAM
(???)

Windows XP
Blockland v21 r1925

Some lag, but not what you would expect. It ran decently.

edit: Not sure why I spent 10 minutes doing that, but I think I win.

framerate? ... what was that draw distance set to?

at 700MHz this could run on a raspberry pi

too bad it's too stuff to run wine

I own a Model B Raspberry Pi, imagine if blockland was on raspbian.

Not sure what the framerate was. When I had half the bricks in view, it was playable. There was only a significant drop once all of the bricks were in view. The draw distance was whatever the default is.

edit: I should add that the thing had a pretty good graphics card in its day..
