i don't

what

wait

call of duty has burly white american dudes fighitn' for democracy w/ explosions, that's called pandering... just because they don't refer to a robot as a mech doesn't mean their audience is stilted

No, I'm not inferring that they won't call them mechs and as a result fans of mechs will stay away. I'm saying they already want that audience to stay away, and as a result they refuse to call them mechs.

Ah, shame that the audience base the dev's don't want will probably end up coming anyways, due to the fact that I'm sure players will end up referring to them as mechs anyways.

i mean

when do they refuse to call them mechs? what would you prefer they say?

Yeah, I heard about this too. The developers refuse to call the Titans mechs because they don't want to associate with the Japanese mech-loving hype. forget Titanfall, they're mechs. You can't just not call them mechs.

the japanese tend to loveualize robots and they have a lot of robophiliac research and love toys

respawn is simply trying to keep their IP off the japanese love industry radar to try and keep a respectable image

titans suck, fei-yen all the way

I like the helmets, but schoolgirl mechs are bit silly.

"it's happening" isn't really appropriate since Virtual-On came out in 1995, and Oratorio Tangram in 1998.

i'd totally stick my flash drive into their usb slot if you know what i mean
