An [H] Project

This is a bit of an older build we had started awhile back, but I recently got some motivation to finish it off, so we're working on it as our main project right now. The build, when finished, will be a compound of warehouses and other things seated at the top of the cliffs shown below. Its set in a northern forest kind of climate, so lots of pine trees and rain. It'll function as a deathmatch map mainly, although it can be used for anything else as well. This is showing our progress we have on it so far.

Terrain isn't the best and the buildings are too dull. Too much gray. Looks like it would be fun for DMs though.

cube terrain was necessary because anything smaller would slaughter the brickcount.
buildings are a bit dull and ill probably tinker with that later on, but for now they work because theyre supposed to be older, abandoned facilities.

Terrain is not finished yet.

That uneven cubescape terrain is awesome. (and super brick-efficient)
I was never a fan of that super-chunky uneven terrain some people do (Anti-Block, Furdle), and I prefer 4x4 and 8x8 cube terrain, although when terrain is done in a grid I think it looks awful like Minecraft.

The walls in the warehouse shouldn't be built directly on top of eachother. Bricks don't go directly on top of eachother, they have a displaced overlap so it's more supportive. I know this isn't completely true with larger factory walls, but it looks a lot better and makes the build less repetitive.

This is awesome.

Terrain isn't the best
You sir, are mistaken. It's really nice terrain, however it does need more color. Keep up the good work

well hey, i'm just trying to mimic reality, lol

I think the terrain has nice form, like, the rocks contour well to the shoreline, but you really ought use 1x2's to smooth some of it out, it would really only add 5k to the brickcount. The actual building itself looks good, very H lookimg, but a little uninteresting floor and wall design. It's still pretty cool, tho

update, we moved some of the facilities to the top of the cliff and the terrains coming along really well.

bumping this, gonna host over the weekend multiple times, we might even get it finished by then. Gonna add the cliff behind the facility and work on the actual facility site and some closure on the boundaries of the build.

Might look better if you used brighter colors on the terrain to contrast with the buildings. You know, juxtaposition and stuff.

I personally really like the way this is coming along.

what about this for some color variation on the cliff?
