Due to the Turk's rebellious acts against the Holy Church, the Pope has officially excommunicated them. Excommunication (even though it's Islamic) from the Holy Church means all Christian nations who trade with them will receive a large favor hit and will be urged to cancel all relations with them. They are seen as the highest order of sinners and will not be tolerated. Further refusal to regain favor with the Pope will result in a Crusade.
