Author Topic: Sid Jairo's Europa Forumalis: Total War - time for some REAL nation rp  (Read 63085 times)

The Byzantine Empire begins to notice the closeness of the Turks. Knowing that they could be a good potential trade partner, we have requested an alliance with the faction.

After finding out that England and Spain have discovered a new world, the Empire decides they want a piece of the action too and goes exploring for it. However, they somehow end up on the west, and take some of the land there (assuming we can) peacefully. It was decided that they would also take over a small bit of land in what is now known as Mexico. This is a great advance for our Empire, and signifies growth of land.
you need to take geography lessons

Also, alliance accepted.

how forgetin' idealistic are you

secondly

what grade did you get in your history class
Oh sure, and I am pretty sure the Pope got assassinated at this time(?)! Oh, and I am also pretty sure that loving France and Scotland had a loving alliance and traded land.

This is not supposed to be a direct-historical role play, this is supposed to be a player crafted RP that is guided through what kinda happened (popes, country names).

England expands in the homeland once again 2 times. England begins to focus on intelligence and education.

And mind me, I am only in the 8th grade. We barely strayed from American History, WWII, and Early Civilization.

Great news! In thanks, we send some of the finest books and musicians to play a festival in celebration.

Are you actually using a game to make descisions Jairo?

Thinking of coming in as Spain, if possible.

you loving handicap, the point of knowing history is to not just know it, but to apply it to current and hypothetical situations. this falls under the hypothetical situations. what has normally loving happened when you try to force a new religion on someone?

secondly, not every goes easy peasy lemon squeezy. not everything goes perfectly, and you can't expect colonizers to not abuse their advantage over the natives.

in the case of the rp however, these are all extremely likely to happen (and have)

yeah, and native americans weren't too kindly to the whiteman's first conversions

plus we haven't even landed on mainland america yet

what the stuff are you doing

well this sort of invalidates everything you've said

as the title of the rp would imply, I'm using sid meier's civilization, europa universalis, victoria, and total war series to create a (hopefully) fluent rp experience

for some decisions I just do random generators (such as ai battles I roll a dice and when choosing pope I do a raffle name picker)

also you may come in as spain if you want

In fact I would assume (and I'm definitely right because we're never wrong in the Empire) that there would be some looting, raping, and pillaging going on amongst the villages right now. Yes, quite possible.

Yes, but that would be happening everywhere each territory is taken. Englishmen are super civilized, we drink tea and never rape!!

And besides wouldn't that decrease the Pope's favor among the country whom do this?

and regard my alliance request to Spain.
considering miko is pending for spain, I'll have to sit out for this delegation

not sure if you're being sarcastic or stupid. probably both.

sarcastically stupid?
no, that would imply you're pretending to be stupid to be sarcastic.

stupidly sarcastic?
does that work? maybe.

but the english did kill plenty of people in an uncivilized manner

Okay!
Everyone, take out your history books and we have to copy-paste what really happens! Such fun!

Ok, joining as Spain.

Spain continues what was stated on the new world post, loading ships and arming conquistadors for exploration in the new world.

Spain also attempts at increasing relations with Portugal.

English alliance respectfully declined.

England points out they helped Spain get to where they currently are.
