Author Topic: Finger Print Tests [POST IN TOPIC, DON'T VOTE]  (Read 1378 times)

Hey, for my science project I need to see if people can tell the difference between related pairs and non related pairs yada yada.

Basically, there are nine pairs of finger prints. You have to tell whether or not the two prints (in that pair) are from two related peoples or two unrelated peoples. Here are the prints, vote in the poll what you think. Also please, don't look in the replies for answers. You shouldn't post what you think are the answers, either. Please don't troll, this is really important to me. I know they may be smudged, but please work with me.  :panda:

Why do you need two threads?

he likely double posted, can you guys stop being handicaps and pointing it out over and over now

can you like, make the images smaller or something
like set them so they're side-by-side? that would make this so much easier to view

I don't know how to, carolcat.
I've spent the last two hours on this.
How do you make it so people can vote for multiple poll choices?

set 1 is different
set 2 is different
print 1 in set 3 has a double print on it, two fingerprints at the same time, so it's incredibly difficult to tell
set 4 is different
set 5 is different
set 6 is different
set 7 is likely same
set 8 there are multiple prints what the forget man
set 9 is different

I'm pretty sure there's an option that lets you pick more than one. Although I'm not going to make my own thread just to see. And I voted.

thanks 4 da prints, i now kno wher u live, wat school u go 2, ur parents credit card infurmation, and everything you've evar masturbated 2

u r DONE

In set eight, the card with the multiple prints is all the same finger.
In set three, it's the same finger but it was rolled so you could get the side prints.
I know it's messy but I'm really tired and I can't redo them.

I guess you can post your opinions here.
I'll post an answer sheet or something.

image sizes: [image width=number here    ] obviously without massive amount of spaces

poll vote more than once:

I tried to resize the pictures to the best of my ability, still working on it.
edit: All I see

By having people post in the topic, you're letting your participants be influenced by subconscious suggestion and therefore messing up the controls on your experiment.

Also, you're sampling from a community that is almost 90% males. It's a well known fact that the eyesight of women and men differ, and age is also a factor too. The Blockland Forums is not a representative population to sample from.

Your images are also different sizes, which could possibly impact which ones participants guess correctly.

You may want to completely scrap your experiment and find a better place to sample from.
