Author Topic: Adobe Illustrator halp  (Read 474 times)

I just installed an older version, however every time I use the brush tool, it automatically selects that line.
If there is any way to turn this off, someone please tell me how.

I don't understand why you would want this off. I don't think Adobe allows you to turn off the autoselection of lines you just drew, it's kind of important.

yeah, why don't you want it to do that?

Previously using a more updated version, you can physically select the lines you draw when you want to select them. It becomes somewhat annoying to attempt to draw close lines when the blue and dots make the line appear different sizes than it actually is.

Get in the habit of pressing escape every time you finish a line? I still don't understand why you would want this off, seeing anchor points is very important due to illustrator being a vector design program. Are you sure that you're not looking for Photoshop?
