Why do my shadows do this?

I'm sure it's just my graphics card, but under options. I can run the S&S to the maximum.


But it does this from Low all the way to Maximum. The Minimum one works fine, (it has no shadows just shaders).

But I'm confused. Do I need to update my drivers? I have a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB

its just that you can't run shaders that high

Install Windows with Boot Camp.

This is caused by the Mac graphics drivers, I think. (Your GPU is the GeForce 9400M which is the GPU of some mac models)

Also, the 9400M will run really sluggish on Low.
