when you're really frustrated and stressed your body suppresses it by cutting off all emotional input into the brain. when you feel depressed youre not actually sad, but youre absolutely miserable because it feels like something is wrong with your head and nothing stimulates you. however, as you go longer and longer without sleep this same phenomenon occurs as your tired brain is simply less and less responsive to stimuli until you start feeling the exact same way. both of these can also cause you dwell on issues in the past and leave you feeling with sudden pangs of deep regret, or drive you insane with worry as your brain desperately seeks something to stimulate itself.if you want to get over depression, you have to deal with what's frustrating you in your life so badly, or get some more sleep depending on the cause.
