OK, but to say that fighter jets look more alike than passenger jets is just ridiculous
nope lol

if you seriously think the fighter jets look more alike then the passenger jets I'm just going to assume you're trolling

I recognized that. But you're awesome so you were discarded from my stuff-flinging at fighter jets.

But they do.

Uh are you saying a 747 looks the same as an atr-42

The SR-71 was still able to out-run the MiG-25, and in its time, was able to evade the majority of surface-to-air missiles by simply going faster than them. Not to mention the fact that the MiG-25 and the SR-71 fit two different roles. The SR-71 is a reconnaissance vehicle with (limited and out-dated) stealth capabilities, the MiG-25 is an interceptor craft. You're comparing apples and oranges here.

You sound upset.

The Lightning II is loving adorable look at that
The Mig-31 is a better interceptor. A fleet of those could intercept a Blackbird if they catch one of guard or use multiple fleets to cut one off.

Also there is reason why the phrase jack of all trades master of none exists. The F-35 is an expensive multirole plane, you can only field so many of those. The 2nd issue that new radar systems and missiles are always being made, so in the blink of an eye the F-22 and F-35 could be made obsolete tomorrow if better radar systems and sams are put out on the market as well as better air superiority planes. Better to have a many fleets of A-10's, F-15s, and F-16s for the Airforce and a Fleet of F-18s and Harriers for the USMC than only a few F-22's and F-35s that could have its stealth made obsolete.

personally the airbus a380 is a fairly unattractive, bulky plane akin to a flying whale (nice beluga reference)

the bridge is more impressive than that ugly plane
assuming the picture is real, anyway

Yeah. At second glance now I realize it's missing a few features.

Yep. It's an X-02 Wyvern from the Ace Combat series, with the OADF paint scheme (which was introduced in Ace Combat Zero, iirc). At high speeds, the ruddervators (?) on the back tilt down to become elevators and the forward-swept portion of the wing swivels into the inner portion (the leading edge of the inner portion literally opens up and allows the outer part to fold inward). It's pretty nifty.
