My laptop won't charge?

Today, I was playing TF2 when I noticed my battery was almost gone. I tried plugging it in but it doesn't say it will charge, I am wondering if I damaged it.

I also have to hold it in firmly for it to even recognize my charger?

Does anything on the charger wire, it's plug or the jack look broke?

i had to solder on a new jack for my laptop.
was not fun cuz risk of failure XD

it's too dark for me to see my plug

i had to do this to fix one of my laptops, and while i was disassembling it i asked my mom to do something and she broke off part of the mobo when she was walking

ended up being a total waste of time

same thing happened to my old laptop, is it an ASUS?

You might have cracked some soldering on the DC Jack. If you're not already handy with a soldering iron the only solution is to take it to a specialist. The bad news is that if the DC jack isn't easily serviceable the only way you can fix it is to replace the entire motherboard.

Any help? I just restarted my computer and it's still the same.

either the battery is fried, or wires to your power jack have been forgeted up, or the power cord is forgeted up.

its a hardware issue and it will cost money or time.

Have you dropped or bumped your computer lately?

I bumped it into a wall moving it, and dropped it about a month ago because my dog ran into me. Other than that, no.

if I hold down the charger into the socket really hard, it will charge. Maybe if I duct-tape it onto there while it's tight, it can be a temporary solution?
