Author Topic: My laptop won't charge?  (Read 1270 times)

Sounds like an issue with the jack then, maybe something in there broke lose from being bumped and then being dropped at a later point

if I hold down the charger into the socket really hard, it will charge. Maybe if I duct-tape it onto there while it's tight, it can be a temporary solution?

This is most likely an issue with the charge port on the laptop. Give it a good cleaning with some Isopropyl Alcohol.

I did that to mine, it works but it just makes it worse over time.

This is pretty much a giveaway that a solder joint in the jack is cracked. just take it to your local computer store and let them figure it out.

that might work if you do it correctly, if you don't use it on the go, I suggest just soldering it in or something.

must be that little pin in the adapter
man I hate those things sometimes
