Can't you bring in a laptop and type notes? or do they not allow it? I'll be going to a university in 2015 and they allow it.

We could take notes on a laptop if we wanted, but it is generally easier to write out equations and draw chemicals on paper. Also, all lab notebooks are carbon paper.

My English class consisted of essays and group projects, nothing worth taking notes for. I have yet to take a history class, but I probably won't.

At my college we write stuff down on paper.

I wish that it's kept that way in the future. My handwritten notes can save me in such situations where I'm dead in front of my keyboard.

We have school issued laptops that we take home with us. Some classes have us hand write things however.
