so i clicked on a link to a research site on accident and all of a sudden this new window in my browser opened up with the title [FBI WARNING] i didn't get a chance to take a look at the window cos my browser crashed before i could. I've heard of people getting fake FBI message spam and im hoping thats what this is. what do you guys think it was? plus how bad would it be if they actually came since i dont think i can legally view research since im not 18.

depends. first they have to check with your isp and filter through your browsing history.

then they find the link you clicked. they file it under its severity.

if its bad enough they write out a warrant and come to your house to arrest you.

i don't think the police really give a stuff about no viewing research until your 18
however depending on the type of research you accidentally viewed you can get into some trouble
like if it's regular research i garentee it's just a virus but if you were looking at some wierd stuff you can get arrested

People get random pop-ups from fake "FBI WARNINGS" that "trap" you in and "lock your browser" even though you can just Ctrl + Alt+ Delete and close it
