Author Topic: What is ChromeOS like?  (Read 932 times)

Doing that pretty much defeats the purpose of getting one in the first place. You can install Ubuntu on any machine, notably any machine cheaper than a chromebook.

(also, Manjaro is totally 1200 times better)

NO ahhhhhhhhhh the chrome book deserves to be sold to disney

You can switch between ChromeOS and Ubuntu in a simple key combination because of Crouton
Does Manjaro even have a native Chromebook port? Only a few distros work on the Chromebook iirc.

Not sure why you'd want to.

Does it even matter? My laptop runs Manjaro great, and I got it for less than a Chromebook.

Chromebooks rock, they serve almost all purposes that you would need a laptop for. They come with very user friendly google-ified versions of all of your microsoft office utilities, browse the internet, and have the google play store for apps.

The best part is that it is all seamlessly tied to google drive so you can have all of this on the cloud as soon as you type it.
