Woah, I am really looking forward to this! Just one question, will the mods be server-sided or client sided?

i know what it means, i'm not stupid
its just why the hell would you pass out from running too much, especially in a game
it'd be pretty stupid
I was just thinking of DayZ and DayZ has that if I am correct.

You need some sort of stamina mod where if you run too much you pass out.
I dunno, I think that could be kinda cool actually.
Maybe (if you're willing to make some alterations to the moodles) if your anxiety and tiredness are both really high you're at risk of passing out from anywhere from 1 second to maybe 3 or 5 minutes. Also if you run out of oxygen underwater, passing out as opposed to taking damage would be really cool because someone could try to save you or something. Idk it could just provide for some really cool gameplay.
This system could work if while passed out you could be carried like in SMM, but I think it should significantly slow the carrier down. This way people can save you or hold you at random for other survivor groups.

Also, again if you're willing to change the moodles a bit from what PZ uses, I think being at the highest or second highest level of Hunger and Thirst should give a player the lowest level of InPain.

If you're tiredness reaches the lowest point, you pass out and then wake up having the second lowest tiredness.
Basically you pass out continuously until you actually sleep somewhere in the shade. (Aka under a tree or in a building)

You can pickup people who are passed out, yes.
Although it would be nice to have it where it slows down the player quite a bit. I agree with this idea a lot.

Well at the moment there are no 'levels' of inpain. Being inpain just means the player is hurting from just being injured and it acts like a sort of timeout so the player can't heal during combat. Only until inpain is over.

No client sided mods will be required.
Everything is server sided.

What should be the max weight a player can carry?

Realistically people can only carry 50% of their weight without serious training and assuming that most people are around 150 lbs, 75 would be the max weight.
I'd probably say set the max to 150 and make players slow down at 100
I feel like most of the items players will be carrying will be small and light anyway, with the exception of a gun or two and a melee weapon. With a lower max weight players can't go around carrying 15 lmgs in their backpacks.

I really dislike the blocky generated look of the map. It's very easy to make large unrandomized maps with modular terrain.

And it's much faster making a decent looking map that is 10x bigger than a hand-built map.
Saves brick count as well.
I'm sorry but for an open world pvp, a generated map is the best option in my opinion.
We are focusing our hand-building on the buildings.

We made this in a week. It's an old picture, and looks even better now.

It plays very well, and was completely handbuilt. Your map wouldn't even be that weird if it was just normally generated, but the massive 64x64 block terrain is just hideous.
