Theres only 154 pokemon to catch, yet theres 255 pokemon slots. Therefor there must be 101 glitch pokemon.

Not necessarily 101 unique glitch Pok�mon, though, most of the 'empty' slots were filled with place holder Missingno.s.

Shinys weren't introduced until Generation II (GSC), even if they were it's just an extra variable and a colour swap not a whole new Pok�mon type in the game.
