How can you be a good builder?

I think my builds looks dull and is always unfinished can you guys help me how could i be a better experienced builder?

That's like asking "How do I be a good artist?" it's just not really answerable.

Practice, try things outside your comfort zone? idk.

I agree with this, through practice, I have come to be sort of good making ModTer islands

I used to just float around servers and learn from looking at other builds. Also, building props takes a relatively small amount of time so you can practice easily and they can make the fine details of your builds a lot nicer.

even the most basic, lego styled, simple buildings need at least 2 layers. extreme detail builds have 3-4.

just go back to what you have already made and add onto it, or update it.
most nicer builds arent always done from ground up, sometimes people start with basic shapes, and complete a build before they go back and add more details.

I don't agree with the whole idea of practice. You're either creative or you're not. I wouldn't say I build too much since I'm only on like a few hours during the week, but when I do I create beautiful builds like my basketball arena out of nowhere.
