Perfect to Good grammar: I am a self proclaimed "Grammar national socialist." This pisses many people off.
How you aren't a n00b: I have been on BL for a reasonable amount of time, don't spam, and understand building (at least basically).
One way how to not be a n00b: Use proper grammar and correct spelling. Also getting guns and shooting everbody is not a good way to endear yourself to the community.

Bonus story:

I've been playing Blockland for about 7-8 months now. I found it on some site, and at that time I ignored it because I hadn't accepted the idea of the game for some strange reason. After some time, I finally decided to take a look at it. I didn't buy the Retail version at the beginning because I was incapable of buying anything online at the time. I desperately searched for a free version, but it appeared that there never was one...Until I found out about the beta version. I went to look around and I stumbled across the link to the beta and played that for the meantime. I learned much of the story of Blockland in that time-frame. After 3-4 months, I got sick of it, and quit. Eventually, my birthday came around, and I bought the full version as a gift to myself.

  • I ALWAYS use good grammar.
  • I'm nice to (most) people, I actually have some building talent and experience with this game.
  • How not to be a noob - Use good grammar: capitalize the beginning of your sentences, don't type in all caps, and use proper punctuation. DO NOT ask to be an admin in a server until you actually know and have gained the trust of the person you're asking. Don't spam, nobody likes that. If you want to become good at building, the key is practice. What I like to do a lot of times is start up either a single player game or a passworded server and just experiment with new ideas and build styles. It takes time to become an experienced builder. Oh, and if you've JUST NOW joined the game, change your name. People who keep their name at "Blockhead3324" or whatever don't get much respect. There's a little bar at the bottom of the main menu, change your name there.

DO NOT ask to be an admin in a server until you actually know and have gained the trust of the person you're asking.
Oh my gosh, I know what you mean. I still remeber that player named "spicy" and as soon as he spawned he asked for admin. We said, "No!" So he flips out and starts screaming, "ZOMG U GUYS SUK I AM GONG TO TEL EVERYONE ABOT HOW LAM THIS SERVR IS!!!!!" So we said, "Okay dude do whatever." He also said, "AND I HAV ADMIN IN TONS OF PLACS I WOLD NAM TEM AL BUT THER IS SO MANY OF THM, AND U AR AL BANNED FROM THM!!!!" We were still like, "Okay w/e you want." So, he left and we banned him for a day to rethink what he just said. He never came back though, thank God.
