Question: The Future of Blockland

The future of Blockland is all in good hands, and I'm pretty sure nothing's going downhill from here.

At one point in the future, Man of Reason will probably give up his quest to destroy Blockland, and someone will find a new way to replace RTB. And this Steam "failure" isn't much of a failure because honestly were getting more new users than ever before.

Plus, we still have a very dedicated community that loves this game, and even if we start to lose some users, there's still a lot of users who won't leave this game anytime soon.

Yeah, I fell that it is going to die out in the near future. Steam did bring new players but a lot of those players only played once and never touched it again. And there will always be new people to take the spots of others that gave up their quest to destroy other peoples fun.

Badspot needs to plan better. He really should not have released Blockland to Steam without strengthening the master server. If he doesn't, the DDoSing will just become stronger and even more frequent. Apparently, he has other priorities than Blockland right now.

I didn't really like how it was going to be greenlit in the first place, but I guess that's too late. I'll really miss RTB, but I'm on board when it comes to staying on the ride to see what exactly the future will hold for Blockland.

This is definitely tough times for blockland, but I highly doubt that blockland will disappear/collapse/etc. anytime soon. This might actually become a new era for blockland, since I have little doubt somebody will try to replace at least parts of RTB sooner or later. I'm just going to ride this out to see what the future truly holds for us.
