Author Topic: Is their any Lego Island reference in The Lego Movie?  (Read 2195 times)

Don't add any spoilers. I just want to know if there is any cameo in The Lego Movie?

yes, there's also a kill la kill reference

So is there a cameo or something? I heard they are only doing current generation stuff but that doesn't explain the 1980 spacemen lol.

the lego movie is literally just a huge ball of old school lego references, enough to tickle the weiner of a lego enthusiast such as yourself. it's like one of those 3D glasses, in that if you open one eye you see only the blue things on the screen and if you open another eye you see only the red things on the screen. if you take a closer look, the entire movie is one cyst of lego island references, amongst other things.

yes, there's also a kill la kill reference
I severely doubt it
Edit: I'm an idiot

I don't even know what kill la kill is. So is lego island in there?

I highly doubt it, for some reason they want to pretend that lego island never existed, or any other old lego game

Octan isn't current generation, neither is Johnny Thunder, who's said to make a cameo somewhere

May contain spoilers but also mentions other older and newer stuff that appears in the movie (i'm just not sure what category mentions them as it's kind of scattered about)

Lego Island isn't mentioned anywhere though, there may be an island somewhere in the full movie in which they make a reference to Lego Island, or there may not be, who knows
