Controls that aren't stuff for starters. The flapping is irregular and stilted and adds a layer of artificial difficulty because you have less control over your character compared to the helicopter's smooth ascension.

Flappy bird has no way to fly straight, you are in a perpetual state of falling and having to regain altitude by basically doing a double jump and catapulting yourself into the air. You tap repeatedly in helicopter and you level out. You tap repeatedly in flappy bird you smack your head on the ceiling because you went way higher than you needed to because the controls are bad.

I went to sleep one night. I woke up the following day, and all I heard was "FLAPPY BIRD FLAPPY BIRD FLAPPY BIRDDDDD!"

the same thing happened to me. then nowadays when I want to browse the internet on my phone, atleast 15 people ask me if I have this game and I'm annoyed. i installed it to see why people liked it so much but the hitboxes (especially on Android) are just ridiculously scaled / positioned so it's quite hard for people like me with android devices. i uninstalled it afterwards.


I just don't get it! one day nobody was obsessed with it and the next it was a blazing fire. something's suspicious.
