Author Topic: So why do you hate life?  (Read 7723 times)

Honestly, Valve made a good statement about life through Cave Johnson.  "When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade.  Make life take the lemons back!"  That being said, don't let life and it's so-called options tie you down.  If it's pressure from family to go into certain fields in which you are not interested, then to hell with it.  "You're going to be a doctor," "You're going to be a Lawyer," "You're going to be an engineer…" forget that.  They're not the ones to decide your future– and only you can do that.  Several people have said that trust is weakness, and to some point, it really is.  The fact is that you are the only person to change who you are, and letting people do that is believing that you are meant to be something other than what you want to do.  I think there is more merit to building yourself up from square one into the person you want to be, than allowing others to place you where you don't have to be, and swollowing life grudgingly.

They're not the ones to decide your future– and only you can do that
this be true dawg

you're your own person if your parents or other people dont like what makes you happy they're jus gonna have to get over it :p

im neutral about life. it has its ups and downs but i try to stay optimistic.

life is great
most people are awful

life is great
most people are awful

This is actually a good point. I really don't hate life, I just hate other people.

The fact that there's a guy out there who eats loving sticks of Old Spice Deodorant (among other things) and posts it on Youtube.
He eats it to gain its
POOOOOWERRRRRRRR

A friend of mine once told me "Trust is a weakness"
This sounds pretty edgy, and I heard it from a song I listened to yesterday.

I hate nothing about life. It's pretty awesome, and so are a lot of the people in it. Most of the world is doing well considering its the least war filled its ever been. Sure, I'm in middle school and I've only got to keep up grades and friendships, even that's a little difficult, but I always try to see the bright side in things, and that's got me to where I am now, and I'm fine with it.

i hate life because life hates me. >:(

Positive thingz: i can hang out w/ my friends @ school & stuff, also making a custom half life 2 campaign, (kindof) etc.

negetive: the subject writing is my nightmare, i hate school :)

I have only one reason to hate life; people

People are scum. We wage war over disagreements, we claim land in the name of profit and the 'future,' some turn to religion for an escape and, in turn, force it upon others (see; "we can't have gays cause god doesn't like gays!" argument), we lie and cheat and steal to better ourselves, rather than others.

We will never, ever be a perfect society. We will always be tribal, we will always be loveist, there will always be rape, hate crimes, Flash Mob and genocide. Not because we are flawed (though true) but because we as a species have evolved into sentience and a higher intellect than most. Because if Lion's could learn to use a .306 rifle to hunt for Gazelles, there would be no more gazelles.

But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe one day, humanity will see past what's in your pants, or if you're 200% real brother, or where you live.

But until then, we're a bunch of nationalistic, loveist, tribal, opinionated pricks, most of whom keep it internal, and the few brave (often stupid) souls leave it external.

TL;DR
 -
I don't know how I date because humans are loving awful, I would rather be a dog and then just stay the forget away from the human race.

I don't hate life though
but there are things that upset me, such as when people condemn all of humanity because some of the more vocal members are stupid
I would rather be a dog
I didn't know we had so much in common :cookieMonster:

old politicians and ways of rule seem to be the reason for your wars
and while the human race may not be perfect, it sure as hell is a lot better than it was 500 years ago
so that means that most likely in the next 500 years then we'll be a bit better

Life sucks because I suck at life lol
Life doesn't inherently suck

No it's not.  Society is just as bad, it just settled in different forms.  If there were no laws protecting the marginalized, then we would still be hatin'.  There's still rape, murder and hate crimes around the world daily, even in the gilded society we call America.  There are still countless white collar crimes and the elite asserting their agenda on the world, cutting corners and using "overseas jobs" as a euphemism for slavery.

The only difference is the illusion that society has improved.
