How do I go past the school's filters?

I'm using the school's internet on my computer. How would I get past this? I have Opera, but I can easily switch to Firefox, if I need to in order to get past the block.

I'm not exactly sure about this but I heard kids at my friend's school were using TOR to get past blocks. It might work, and I think you can download its browser bundle for free.

Check if Hidemyass.com is unblocked.

Also some filters ignore adding .png and ? to the end of the URL.

I'm pretty sure it was made as a service to help you stay anonymous online (which should not be punishable imo) but yeah you have a point as a lot of criminal sites are accessible through TOR.

since it's your own computer you can install and use TOR if you want, the government wouldn't even concern itself with you
but I don't think there's any guarantee that it will work

I'm surprised your school actually knows about the forums.
Mine doesn't and they tend to be brown town about every website (they blocked Imgur for "adult content")
