Bad news: http://www.autoweek.com/article/20140306/CARNEWS01/140309899

'84 Corvette PPG Pace Car was "karate chopped" by two concrete slabs.  Worst faring car of all, but may still be able to be restored.
i'll take it

Suckage. Such a nice car too.

Hey guys.  I kind of stopped paying attention to the news for a while, so here's what the outcome of the buried cars are.

'90 Corvette ZR-1 Spyder (barely recognizable)

'09 Corvette Convertible 1.5 Millionth produced (heavy damage)

'01 Corvette Z06 Mallett Hammer (without the wheel, you would never tell it's even a car)

RIP sweet prince.

Now reconstruction of the museum is underway.

Wow. I have a feeling those wont be restored?

Wow. I have a feeling those wont be restored?

I seriously doubt they'll even bother with the Mallett Hammer.  Iirc it is probably fairly easy to replace (either building a new one to the same specifications or just buying one)

They have to consider this: are they restoring the car, or are they just building a completely new one?

After all, how many of those parts are even usable anyway?
